I remember that story from the Purnell Sunshine Library collection Toyland Tales — it was the first place where I ever learned the term "go on strike"! :D (I'd forgotten that Enid indicates that this "isn't a very noble thing to do" — an opinion that largely depends on which side of the dispute one is on, of course — but it was still a very instructive and amusing story.)
