Oh, that story is also in Stories for You, which was one of my favourite Enid Blyton short story collections when I was little and that was one of my favourite stories in it! :D I always enjoyed the message of doing something good even for someone who has always been mean to you, and the fact that the boys and Mr Chip alike all learn to be nicer to each other — along with Wags the dog himself, of course! Thanks for the reminder of it and the different edition, Pete. I like the illustrations in Stories for You better (it's a Dean compilation, so probably 1970s), but it's good to see a different version.
