I read a short story many years ago about a greedy boy who ate a whole chocolate pudding instead of leaving a share for his brother, as his mother had told him. The boy later feels ill and goes to bed, where he dreams that he has been transported to chocolate pudding land (or town), where there is no food other than chocolate pudding. At first he thinks it it wonderful, but after a few meals of nothing but chocolate pudding he finds it disgusting and decides that he never wants to see a chocolate pudding again. I am sure that the story is by Enid Blyton, but I cannot find it in the Cave, so either I am wrong or it has another name. Can anybody help me?
Cheers,
Boodi

Brilliant as always Pete! Thank you so much...as you guessed, I got the name wrong. I was probably confused because chocolate cakes and buns are also mentioned. The odd thing is, I always think of that story when I make a chocolate pudding, as I did yesterday evening, but despite the moral in the story the entire chocolate pudding was demolished at dinner today!!!

Great!
But that means you have no pudding left over for breakfast - maybe that's a good thing according to Enid's story!
Regards
Pete

Yes indeed it is, although somehow I don't think that I would be tempted by chocolate pudding at breakfast time. Oddly enough, I have never tasted treacle pudding, but I assume that it must be very sweet.
