Thank you once again Tony. I have a much clearer picture now. I thought I would check to see if the Australian National Library has a set of the magazine, but unfortunately not a complete run by any means. Even before COVID my travelling days were over (not that they ever were extensive) but the daughter of a friend works in Canberra and she may have been able to look at them for me.
And yes, Pete, I totally agree - I've found out Blytoniana (is there such a word?) from this site I didn't realize that I needed to know, but I did.

It's lovely to be reminded of what was serialised. Funny that none of the St. Clare's books got that treatment! I know they were aimed mainly at girls but that didn't prevent In the Fifth at Malory Towers appearing in Sunny Stories!
