I'm not bothered where people wear them but the cost is insane!

Sometimes I think it would be great if there was an opportunity to give an up arrow (vote) on this site!

At the start of January I bought a Big Black Coat from Tesco, which with 25% off for Clubcard I think was just under £50.

I told myself I needed it as my bellringers winter coat. There can be a lot of waiting around in cold churches whilst awaiting your turn, and said coat which goes well below the knee was just what I needed.

However, mother has used it a lot, since when sat in a wheelchair a coat that falls below the knees even when you are sat down is a bonus.

Yesterday we had a mini outing, ringing in North Dorset and one tower in Somerset. Each tower was a little colder than the previous one - and someone described my coat as the next best thing to a duvet. The last tower was at Bishop's Caundle (next to Stourton Caundle - of Finniston Farm fame) where it was so cold that I actually rang whilst still wearing my coat.

 Those look kind of odd, like some religious robes of some sort. They don't look like night wear though so that's ok :P. I wouldn't wear one however, they look quite heavy and uncomfortable.
