Yes, and not just travel. In my university when I first enrolled in 2019 we had to have gotten certain vaccines to be allowed to study there. Some summer camps too, have had that rule. It's usually fairly routine vaccines that most people have gotten anyways as children, so it's really only to make sure people who're completely unvaccinated don't risk passing deadly diseases on to those who do choose to get the vaccine. Which is understandable, imo.dsr wrote:In terms of travel, at least, there have always been strict vaccine rules.

Has anybody else's vaccination status changed? It would be useful to see any changes.
Today, the figures in the poll read 16,14, 3 & 2.

Re: POLL: Will you have the COVID-19 vaccine?
I've been keeping myself updated with the vaccination situation in Sweden, Ireland and Spain and it seems my age group still has some time to wait. Supposedly Skanë was hoping to vaccinate young people by the starting weeks of June but it seems the schedule didn't quite go as planned. So before I go back to Ireland I don't believe I will have been vaccinated yet which is unfortunate. On the positive side, my mother got her first dose two days ago so by the time I'll arrive she'll be at least, protected. And likewise my sister, my father and my grandparents.
Although of course I'm always going to continue to take every single precaution to avoid getting sick or harming someone else with my carelessness.

I got my first dose this afternoon so have updated the poll. Now just awaiting the side affects!

You're obviously much too young, IceMaiden.

I'm having my second jab on Wednesday - while self-isolating (they said it was allowed!) I did feel a bit fluey the first time round, so if there's any side effects this time, they can wear off while I'm stuck indoors anyway.

I had my second jab yesterday. Arm is a bit sore today as it was last time but nothing more serious. As yet anyway. I'm glad to have it done and over with.

Re: POLL: Will you have the COVID-19 vaccine?
Side effects for me so far have been minimal. My arm was very sore which came on within an hour of the jab, but it’s more or less OK now. Friday night and yesterday morning I felt a bit tired, had a sore head, slightly swollen glands and some nausea but none of them were too bad. By Saturday afternoon I was OK again so I’m hoping that’s me done!

I wish! They haven't done my age group at all around here so far, yet those younger have had their first dose. It makes no sense to me why they've skipped like that!

Re: POLL: Will you have the COVID-19 vaccine?
I've now had my second A-Z jab. Arm was sore for a day, but now fine.
It just didn't occur to me that 1 June was in half term, even less so that the sun might shine, and therefore booking a jab at Bournemouth International Centre, on the sea front, may prove problematical for parking!
"Don't drive for at least 15 mins" advised the nice volunteer
"It will take me longer that that to walk back to my car!" I replied
Three months ago, after my first jab, I had the beach to myself, but this week I walked through the biggest crowds I've encountered for 15 months. I even took my shoes off to paddle on the way back.
A far nicer experience than "paddling" the week before - what looked from afar as a smooth tarmac-ed farm track was in fact a "river" of slurry with a caked-over surface

My second jab was yesterday. No side effects at all, just like the first. Lucky me!

I'm having my first dose tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it as I hate needles. I also have to work on Saturday morning so hoping I don't have too many side effects .
