So very sad to hear that Captain Sir Tom Moore has passed away after battling Covid-19 following his contracting pneumonia.

He will always be remembered by our country for your wonderful spirit in raising £33-million for the NHS.

Rest In Peace, Captain Sir Tom.

A genuine hero, putting others before himself during a time of crisis.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

To me it's more than the funds he raised for NHS charities, it's the inspiration he gave to others to both raise funds themselves and rise above their own personal challenges in doing so apart from lifting the mood at the darkest and most worrying period of the pandemic.

A very real hero, R.I.P Sir Tom.

Yes, I agree. Obviously the money was a big achievement, but I think the way he inspired so many with his optimism and determination was also important.
