R.I.P. Sir Tom. A true hero, twice in one lifetime. We thank you. You will never be forgotten. :|

We've just had our clap for Captain Tom, and a good reason for neighbours to snatch a few words (no more!) together.

What a fantastic final 12 months he had.

Did you see his appearance on tv show Blankety Blank with Terry Wogan ?

I didn't hear if anyone round here did it.

There's a programme about him on tonight, I think at 7.30 on BBC1 - I've set the timer up ready so I don't miss it.

I did see a clip of him on Blankety Blank.

RiP Captain Sir Tom Moore. Hard to believe he was unknown of to virtually everyone this time last year and how sad that he's become a victim of the virus that was the reason for his rise to fame.

A fitting tribute to Captain Sir Tom Moore today, the day of his funeral.

Yes, a lovely tribute, I heard that poem on the TV this morning. A sad day for his family, but he'll always be remembered by everyone now, not just his family, for his amazing efforts at such an age, pulling everyone through this pandemic.

It was sad when captain Tom died of this rotten virus. He was an inspiration to all and cared for people. So glad he got a blue peter gold badge.

Yes indeed Sue. Hopefully it will soon be over. Have you had your vaccination yet?
