I was hoping for Maisie to win, as she was really good. I was quite surprised that Bill won to be honest.

I think I read a while ago that Bill's mother was a huge Strictly fan and she had now passed away???
He said he was doing it for her, but acknowledged he was only The Caretaker Of The Dance, not The Lord Of The Dance..
I love the way Bill did not seem to mention this fact about doing it for his Mum too much - I'm sure she would have been extremely proud of him and the way he has conducted himself and ultimately won the competition in honour of her.
