I was saddened to read of the death at 92 of Frank Windsor who played, amongst other parts, Det Sgt John Watt in the 1960's BBC TV series 'Z Cars'.
That was one of my favourite TV series at the time mainly because a lot of it was filmed locally to where I lived in Seaforth, Liverpool and on one occasion I watched a scene being shot one evening as I was coming home from school.
R.I.P. Frank Windsor.

Sad news. He was great in Z-Cars. RIP Frank Windsor.

Yes, I enjoyed Z-cars too - just about the first series I ever saw on TV - we didn't have one before then. I liked Frank Windsor in the part. RIP Frank Windsor.

I loved Z Cars. I thought Frank Windsor's character, John Watt was the perfect foil to Stratford John's character Charlie Barlow.

RIP Frank Windsor. Good innings though he reached 92.
