There seem to be moments in my life that signify I’m moving to the next stage of life. The first was being desperate for a cuppa after a night out clubbing in my 20s, then it was wanting to go to Focus and Nottcutts on Sundays in the 30s and now it’s needing to add a bag of mints to my weekly shop in my 40s
For me, it has to be a bag of Foxes Glacier Mints. There are a couple of reasons, mainly they seem to have a perfect balance of sweet refreshing mintiness with a firm peppery after tone but also because the remind me of my Grandpa who always seem to be able to conjure them out of nowhere, much to the annoyance of my mom
Who brand of mint is your favourite?

I used to love Mintoes but stopped eating them after one pulled out a filling! Nowadays I'm partial to Clarnico Mint Creams, which melt in the mouth, or Kendal Mint Cake, which has a delectable crystallised texture.

I don't know if you have them across the pond but Andes Mints are absolutely delightful! I used to ask my cousins to bring over a few packs for me specifically when I lived in India.
Also Nick, I am 18 and find myself craving mints all the time so I wouldn't feel too bad about this stage in your life.

Mint Humbugs would be my choice followed by a stick of traditional pink mint seaside rock. Foxes Glaciers are lovely too, not had them for years. Chocolate with a nice mint fondant are good too .
