RIP Vera Lynn
It's just been announced that Dame Vera Lynn has died aged 103. RIP to a truly marvellous and inspiring lady. (And yes, I've just been listening to her singing We'll Meet Again.)

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Re: RIP Vera Lynn
Very sad indeed, Courtenay.
Surely one of the greatest British singers ever. She was my dad's favourite and I have her singing this on the original 1962 recording which he bought at the time. Here it is as a tribute to her.
R.I.P Dame Vera.

Re: RIP Vera Lynn
Just read this and it has saddened me so much..
May she rest in peace.
She was a total legend, and will be remembered for all generations to come..

I wonder if she's the Vera Lynn of which Pink Floyd were singing about in "The Wall".

Re: RIP Vera Lynn
There is only ‘one’ Vera Lynn, Wolfgang and the words tell you that with the mention of her song ‘We’ll Meet Again’.
