I'm sure Sunskriti will say it doesn't matter!
Who knows, I might just start spouting my extensive knowledge of Christianity and surprise you all with an answer to the highly important question of the 12th Night.
(PS: Jokes apart, I know I'm probably being highly inappropriate but it truly isn't my intention to offend anyone, I'm just bad at biting me tongue is all. )
well, as far as I'm concerned there are no religious connotations to 12th night...I just want to know when its the right time to take down the decorations, lol!

We've taken ours down on 6 Jan forever!!, its just family tradition and we celebrate 6/1 as
Twelfth Night. Its always sad to say au revoir to our lovely decs for another year, but soon get accustomed to being "back to normal"! I put a bucketful of water in the tree pot on 5/12 when we put it up, and its still as fresh as a daisy and strongly scented with pine, we'll make the most of the last evening of its delightful presence with the fire and candles lit!
Thank you! This is the sort of answer I wanted, lol! Yes - its always been 6th January in our family too. I've taken some down already but will leave the real Christmas tree until Saturday night, as I love the smell of pine in the house!

I would honestly feel pretty bad if I took the decorations before the 6th due to the Epiphany and all that, but unfortunately because school starts literally a day or two after this celebration, we have to take everything down either 6th in the evening or 7th the lastest. For me it's the hardest part ever..

I usually take mine down on the sixth, or sometimes a few days later if I am feeling lazy. I never entirely understand people who take them down on Boxing Day but each to their own I guess.
Mine come down on the 6th, 12 days after Christmas Day and not a second before or after, as I don't want bad luck for the rest of the year. Their all packed away now and the room looks bare and much bigger, I know it'll take a week or so to adjust again and for the 'Christmas feeling' to subside. I hate pulling them down, love putting them up but absolutely hate taking them down, I think it must be the most depressing job after being an undertaker! .
The decorations up around the town though, well the council might get around to taking them down by July if there's a summer fete on and they don't want fairy lights mixed up in the bunting...
