Wow! Is it really a year since the Exbury meet up? It doesn't seem that long ago since I read the posts of those who actually made it down! Mind you, it's nearly a year since I accompanied Gary and Tim round the F5 locations at the beginning of August 2018! Where has the time gone?

I think I've mentioned this before somewhere, but I think it's down to something called 'age'. ;) It's almost a year since I joined this forum but doesn't seem like it.

Hope there is a plan for get-together this year, Daisy. :D

I'd love to come to one if only I can (have never managed yet)... :D I'd more likely be able to make it if it's somewhere reasonably near London, like Beckenham (quite near me) or Bourne End or Beaconsfield. (Hmmm, did Enid have a thing about living in places starting with B?? )

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Wow a year already. It was indeed a lovely day. Sadly I don't think anything has been planned for this year. It always seems to be a bit of a struggle to find dates, places and get commitments from people to attend. But when it happens it is always magical.

I was thinking only this morning that it must be about a year since the get together.

When I realised it was a year ago this weekend I felt a little sad that there isn't another meeting on the horizon, but now I'm comforting myself with the memories of a very enjoyable day last year. All the more special because I didn't think I was going to be able to get there until some last minute arrangements the night before. :D

I became so excited- then realised it was about last year. It was nice, though, to see the photos again.

Yep! I think you're right! It's an age thing. Best get the retirement home ready for me.

Pamela Cox - was Get-Together at Exbury, Sat 12th May 2018

I can now reassure everyone that Pamela Cox isn't dead - I've been in contact with her to get some biographical details for the second edition of The Encyclopaedia of Girls' School Stories, and she's doing just fine: in fact, she's expecting the arrival of her first grandchild at the end of the year.

It's great that you've heard from Pam Cox, Sue. :D

It’s good to know that Pamela Cox is alive and well. :D

Alas no Chrissie. Or not so far anyway.

We met in Exbury three years ago, it's a shame that it didn't work out this year either, but I'm sure we'll see each other again in 2022 :D
It was such a great day!
