Still trialling other writers, but will eventually go back to reading a bit of Blyton! Just too many books...

Or indeed Marco, Paul, Jemima, Laura or Connal from the 90s series . (Well, probably not Laura as that is the baby's aunt's name.)
Incidentally my dad's name is also Colin, Carlotta.

I suppose so looking at it like that, but I'm not sure how many Apples would have to be born before it became a ordinary name .Anita Bensoussane wrote:All names were used for the first time by someone at some stage, so if people started using those names often enough they'd eventually come to be regarded as ordinary.
I like all the names in Enid's books as a choice (though perhaps not Moon-Face!) and there's certainly plenty to pick from. For non Blyton names I've always liked Christina, as in Flambards.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

No, his middle name is David otherwise that would have been quite strange. As for Kollo...etc I have to say I'm not quite sure. It's unusual certainly, but spelling it might just give everyone a headache

Congrats, Fiona!
Reading this thread, I don't think you're gonna be short of suggestions for the names!
What about an exotic sounding Indian name eh?

It's Mr. Watzisname's real name so it must be a male name!

Re: A new Blyton fan
But if the baby is a girl, Fiona could always choose the feminine version of the same name, which I assume must be Kollamoolitoomarellipawkyrolla.
