I think Walter was being sarcastic, Chrissie. "Watching grass grow" is a metaphor in English for something that's really, really boring.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

:P I have watched 'Puffovision' a few times though and have yet to see any puffins nor the infamous giant rabbit. Just a few bedraggled seagulls and lots of blustery bluebells!

How nice of you to mention the bluebells :D ! Now I finally know what kind of flowers they are.

Quite a few puffins out walking now. They must be going to the dance on the island tonight.

It is dark on the island now, but I can still see the odd shadow of a Puffin running about! It's strange how they have suddenly made an appearance over the last couple of days. I kept up to date with the webcam since Chrissie posted a link and saw no Puffin whatsoever until yesterday and today when they have been appearing regularly.

It's raining on the island now. I was wondering why the night vision wasn't as (reasonably) clear as it normally is and then realised there were raindrops hitting the lens! Hope the puffins' dance party isn't a wash-out.

Today I missed them  as we went to visit my parents-in-law in New Hampshire. Will try to catch the puffins tomorrow...

Maybe the puffins use a huge underground burrow for a dance hall?

It's 1 a.m. UK time/8 p.m. Massachusetts time now, the rain on Burhou stopped, the puffin cam lense is dry again and I can see some lights on Alderney. The giant rabbit still has to come out (usually I see him by 9 p.m. my time). He is VERY nocturnal :).

No puffins in sight but then I realised it's Sunday. They'll all be at Evensong.
