Bodily Functions, Ablutions, Male Grooming etc!

Post by pete9012S »

One for us men.

The girls have their most popular beauty thread....
Lets have one for the blokes....

Do you use aftershave or deodorant? Which do you favour?
How often do you bathe?
Wet shave or electric razor?

You mature guys who look so good, any hints and tips to help us younger fellows stay looking good and feeling great??

(I don't expect this thread to be allowed for very long,as after Anita has wacked me with her fair, but oh so firm moderating stick I won't be able to sit down let alone post - so if you want to have your say guys you best be quick about it!!! :D )

TBH I just use the stuff Mrs Maggie Knows buys.

Can't we have a whisky/beer thread instead ?

And that very honest and revealing post just about sums up the male attitude to male grooming etc... :D :D
At least there's no danger of this thread overtaking the Journal 53 Appreciation thread!

Actually, beer is supposed to make a very good shampoo, so you could combine 2 threads in 1.

I wonder how many men on here would sooner pour beer over their heads than down their throats. Nigel will be mortified.

Katharine is right, beer is indeed a very good hair-wash. So is nettle tea, and if you want a good conditioner then put some mayonnaise on for about an hour before you wash your hair and it makes it softer than any shop-bought conditioner ever does.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

TBH who'd want hair that smells like a Pret sandwich ?

That former MP turned journalist Matthew Parris reckons he hasn't washed his hair since 1996.

And he's pretty well dressed usually.

So, maybe the whole hair care industry is a sham(poo) ?

Would this be seen as inappropriate for a children's literature forum ? Otherwise, I might launch one.

Obviously, I wouldn't be encouraging anyone to drink who shouldn't be.

Can Mods advise please ?

That should be okay - I'm sure people can be trusted to post sensibly.

I'll be worried if anyone starts discussing "bodily functions" too literally...
