It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I did say Monday in my post, Courtenay. Bannerman initiated it but of course it was already the 20th in your home country where he is.

I couldn't put it better, Francis. I don't normally get involved with this part of the forum (I don't reveal my DOB/ too much to identify -hopefully ). But, a very Happy Birthday to you (and all forumites- as applicable).Francis wrote:Happy Birthday and may the year ahead be happier still.

Re: Happy Birthday, Courtenay!
Awww, how kind. Thank you, everyone so far. I have a day off today (not specifically for my birthday, it just happened that way in my work schedule) and am planning a WhatsApp video call with my parents and sister in Australia later this morning (evening for them). Then I may sneak out for a walk later, maintaining appropriate social distancing and all that. I don't have any other particular plans. I know there's supposed to be a parcel in the mail from my family — possibly containing my favourite biscuits etc. that one can't get in the UK — but it hasn't arrived yet...

Thanks for posting that, BB.
Perth Australia is 7 or 8 hours in front of the UK, depending on whether the UK is in Daylight Savings or not. I don't know the time difference, between Melbourne and the UK, though.
When I wished Courtus a Happy Birthday, it was in the early hours of this morning. Between midnight and 4am, actually. Just saying.
Oh, and I don't have WhatsApp or Hangouts. I do have Skype, though.
