Thanks, Anne Gracie. I had my family wishing me Happy Birthday from Australia the day before my actual birthday, as it was already the 20th for them! :D

Yes, happy birthday, Courtenay. I don't normally partake of this part of the forums because I don't leave details of my birthday, but, with a few that I've messaged (and no disrespect to any I don't) happy birthday from me.

Gosh, thanks everyone — sorry I haven't been on here for a while either!! :D :D :D I did have a lovely birthday (over a week ago now) — I spent some time in my favourite garden in England, Biddulph Grange (just over the Staffordshire border), which I discovered a few years ago but which is now only about 45 minutes' drive away from my new home! And I had a video call with my family in Australia and also one with a friend in the US, and just generally had a nice time while still settling into my new home.

Everything's going well here — and thank goodness I've now got broadband!! — but there's still a fair bit to do when it comes to extra furniture. I've been taking some measurements and toying with ideas and am starting to look at what IKEA has to offer, particularly in the way of bookcases...
