I've also heard about the floods and I was wondering how everybody was?

If you've had a fair bit of rain down your way (which we certainly have lately), I've just learned it could be worse — spare a thought for the good folk of Eglwyswrw in Wales... Raining in Pembrokeshire village, Eglwyswrw, for 81 days

It was snowing here yesterday morning. I love snow, but walking home in that was a terrible experience - I was absolutely freezing because it was blowing right against me all the way home!
Interesting article, Courtenay.

I have forgotten what snow looks like! Seems a long time ago since we enjoyed 4 years out of 5 with over a foot of snow (when we lived in on the Ridge outside Hastings). We have had quite a bit of rain this month but it was sunny today.

First it was storm Jason and now Gertrude's arrived with a vengeance, walking along the seafront is fairly eventful with stones from the beach smashing on the promenade and house high waves - exhilarating but not for the fainthearted
"Its a magic wood!" said Fanny suddenly.

There seem to be quite a few 'storms of the century' according to this thread!

I was thinking maybe the thread title could be changed to simply "About the Weather"... ?

I'm drinking McEwans Champion Ale (7.3%) at the moment. Far better than PG Tips.

Re: Batten down the hatches for the storm of the century?
Is ale any more relevant to Enid Blyton (or indeed to the topic of this thread) than tea??

Maybe the tea crops and hop crops have been affected by storms!
