Charmed by your lovely picture on the staircase, Julie, I saw a lot of the several flights, running up and down to the 2nd floor as the lift was usually like the field hospital at Scutari  ! Embarrassingly we couldn't get the camera working, so just happy memories rather than photos to bring away... How nice you were able to mark your daughter's Masters achievement there, certainly the perfect place for a celebration. All a happy memory for us now, staying with cousins at Bathampton making our way westwards!, though I felt a tug at parting leaving our lovely sitting room with its pretty fireplace and flower arrangements, and those marvellous heated mosaic loungers in the pool zone!

We had a great time, as you say there is plenty to do and see in the hotel and we spent time in the pool and spa and sauna.

Migraines are awful. Don't blame you switching off your computer. Give your eyes a rest. :)

Hope you feel better soon. I know too well how migraines can be. I get the works - pins and needles, blind spots, the aura, then the headache - and often the next day I'm still feeling washed out. :( Hope you feel better as the day progresses.

I'll warm me with your echoes

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Good luck with your music practical. What instrument(s) do you play?
