I hope my many friends on the forum are well and posting merrily and I have started my rehabilitation with starting to read 'Five go off to Camp at bedtime - so there!
It just wasn't the same EBS without you if I may say so.

Francis wrote:Yes having overdosed on Adventure Books I had to go into aversion therapy and I haven't bought one for months. It does help that I have avoided places where I might see one. Of course you never really escape the urge to buy one you just take one day at a time.
It's an addiction, I know. :D

Me, too! 8)
I guess we'll never get too old for dreaming of secret passages, mysterious castles and hidden valleys with caves etc.

Lovely to see you back, Francis! :D I don't think any of us have ever been able to exile ourselves from Enid Blyton for too long, don't worry.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

It’s good to see you back, Francis. :D You’ve been misssed.

You've definitely been missed, Francis - good to see you back. :-D I prescribe a dose of Famous Five followed by a weeks course of Barney books! :-)
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'
