Sorry to hear about your fall, Fiona. :( Hope the pain soon lessens and you can get stuck into a book or two!

Poor Fiona! :(
I hope it will heal soon and that all is well with the baby?

Hope you're soon on the mend, Fiona, and get some good reading done in the meantime! Take care.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I hope you're doing better by now, Fiona, and that no further harm is done besides the one that's already diagnosed.

Hope you're much better by now. Just rest and do nothing.

Thanks all. My knee's starting to feel a bit better - though it's taking me back to childhood days of scraped scabby knees! Managed a nap this afternoon after taking more paracetamol.

Maybe if I sleep better tonight I can dig into a book tomorrow before Stef arrives. Yes, poor girl is coming 500 miles to see me and do day trips and I can hardly leave the house!
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Glad you're a bit better, Fiona. Have a wonderful time with Stef — I'm sure she'll help cheer you up even if you can't get about as much as expected! :D

And crafts too, as you're both creative?

I've made it to the sofa today, and the pain is a bit less. The baby has been very enthusiastic in reassuring me he is OK, and showing off that clearly all four limbs of his are in excellent working order .

Ewan has been great too, he's been given yesterday and today off as special leave so he has been fetching and carrying for me. He has also been up every three hours in the night to strap me into my boot so I can go to the loo (just can't reach my foot well enough these days!)
