I'm simply over-whelmed!!! :D :D :D
Thank you so very much for all your lovely birthday wishes, dear Anita, Poppy, Daisy, Carlotta King, Francis, Eddie, Lucky Star, Deej and Spitfire (I hope I didn't miss somebody).

Well, my birthday is a bit unusual this year as my husband will start building the long promised EB bookcase tonight. :D
As it's wider (117 cm in comparison with Billy 90 from IKEA which is 90 cm), he bought 3 pieces of backside which I painted twice today (I just finished the 2nd coat).
Sometime tomorrow the bookcase will be standing in our guestroom (actually it's more of a guestroom library as all walls are filled with bookcases and CD cases) and I can't wait to fill it with my Blyton books in chronological order.
Until today they were in a Billy 90 bookcase, but I have more EB books than would fit in that bookcase, so this is the most beautiful birthday present for me. :)

Can't get much better than a bookcase as a present!

I expect you will need to expand your collection to fill all that extra book space - what a lovely prospect!

Oh yes, Francis, I still have quite a few Blyton books that I only have in German plus there are some others that I still couldn't find for a decent price like "The Secret Island". I check amazon.co.uk every now and then, but so far no luck.

Thank you so much, Katharine :)!
I plan to sort my EB books into chronological order on Saturday with the help of Barbara Stoney's complete Blyton book list. I already know that it will take me at least half a day, because I usually cannot resist leafing through the books, reading a paragraph here and there or just admiring the gorgeous illustrations.

How very sweet of you, Nigel :).
To be honest, today still feels like birthday to me as I'll receive my large bookcase some time this afternoon.
My husband has to do some crown molding (don't ask me what that is, must be some typical American thing to beautify a room) for his son's kitchen in the morning and will build the Blyton bookcase in the afternoon.
Saturday will be dedicated to sort the Blyton books in chronological order, same with the many Blyton biographies. And in case it's still light enough, I'll take pics and downsize them in PhotoScape. Otherwise I'll take pics on Sunday morning.
Then I will delete my old Blyton bookcase pics in the enidblyton.net photo section and replace them by the new pics.
I'll put a link in this thread once I'll be done.
