They do? I don't see it - or is that there are no birthdays today, and Daisy's is now yesterday?

Thank you Michael. The notification is at the foot of Board Index page. The other 2 who have brithdays today are unknown to me. If you haven't filled in your birthday when you did your profile, then it won't be displayed of course.

It shows it on my page, but it also has the date at the top, it's currently 28th May and about 16:50. Check to see what it says at the top of your page Michael. I'm absolutely rubbish at time differences, but I'm guessing it's already 'tomorrow' where you are, and possibly no birthdays on that day.

Daisy, I forgot your cake. There you go.

*hands cake to Daisy*

Daisy, do you like chocolate cake or usual cake better? I didn't know what to bake you...

PS: This is not real. I would like to send Daisy a cake but I can't.

God, I wish SUCH a chocolate cake would really be out there!
I've never seen something like this. When I just showed it to my husband, he laughed out loud and said, he will try to get one excatly like this one on my birthday, but I bet they don't make such chocolate cakes in the US :(.

I'd better go and check that. It may seem like an odd quirk of mine, but I usually don't tell anyone my birthday if I can avoid it - I don't like a fuss being made of my birthday, find it quite embarrassing - and I would really squirm if a thread emerged around my birthday, well-meaning though I'm sure it would be.
I just wish I could get my family to ignore my birthday, but it's never going to happen, because I can't get them to stop without sounding rude or ungrateful. They actually do know how I feel, but seem to want to do it anyway.
Does anyone here feel similarly? - or am I truly in a minority of one on this?

Regards, Michael.

Not there - but maybe, in Australia, I'm already on your tomorrow, and there are no birthdays for that day.
I've never noticed that feature on any day, though.

I logged out, and thus went back to the default British time on this site - and saw the birthdays.
So that's one mystery solved, at least.

I must admit I do rather like to be made a fuss of on my birthday, but each to their own. Michael, if you wish to keep your birth date private then that's fine. If you'd rather I didn't wish you a happy birthday then I won't.

Thank you everyone. Abi, that cake is absolutely gorgeous - I wish it was real, but maybe for the sake of putting on lots of weight if it was, it is as well I can't get my hands on it! :D
Chrissie, it looks as if it's made of many bars of chocolate built up like you might make a house of cards, but with a solid centre of course. :D

Happy Birthday Daisy! If that cake's real I'm sure I could help you eat it
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.
