Zaidi, if it's any comfort, I stopped growing at the age of about 13 and I'm only 5 foot 1 inch. But it hasn't had any impact whatsoever on my happiness as an adult.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

5 foot 4 isn't bad for 16 years old - I wasn't that tall when I was 16, and I'm 5 foot 7 now, at 31. You've still got ages to get a bit taller, I wouldn't worry. :)

I am 5 foot 6! We're all very tall in my family - my brother is 16 and he is 6 foot. He's got size 11 feet, too.

Five foot 4 inches is a very good height and even if it were not it has nothing to do with happiness. Be interested and interesting and you will be admired and respected.

You may well grow a bit taller yet, Zaidi - and if you don't, it really doesn't matter! My mum, dad and sister are all taller than I am - in fact my younger sister overtook me in height when we were about 11 and 12, which was slightly embarrassing as some people thought she was the older one! I'm the shortest in my house again now because my husband, daughter and son are all taller than I am!

Gosh, Zaidi. To me your are tall. What on earth are you worried about. That's a lovely height. I'm under 5ft, and being small has never worried me one little bit. It's not stopped me working, getting a good job, having great friends, having a daughter, now grandchildren.

Just be happy with the height you are, and enjoy yourself. :)

5 foot 4 inches is a good height, Zaidi, especially for a 16 year old girl. :D My wife, Chick is only 5 foot 1½ inches (the ½ is very important), and she is just a little older than you.

5 foot 4 inches sounds a very good height to me. I'm just under that myself. Like Anita, I'm now finding my family overtaking me, although it will be quite some time before my 8 year old catches me up. I must admit I used to wish I was a little bit taller, but one day realised that height isn't everything. I knew someone who was probably about 6 feet, but as he was confined to a wheelchair after an accident I never saw him at his full height. While he didn't let his accident stop him from achieving a lot in life, I can't help wondering if he'd have willingly have swapped a couple of inches of his height for the ability to use his legs again?

Though I am 16 but I look like a 13 year old because of my height. And I have started feeling inferior to people taller than me(except one, most of my class girls are way taller than me).I like guys to be 6 and girls to be 5-6 til 5-8 not taller than that. Thanks for relieving me people, but is there way people grow taller after 16 ? Girls in England are usually taller, so most of you be tall. But its fun to talk of contrasting heights! :D

I'm five feet small, so you are tall compared to me, Zaidi. :)

I don't think that's really true - heights vary a lot between us British women.

Zaidi, a person's popularity, success and happiness in life have nothing to do with height or looks or appearance in any way whatsoever. Better to accept yourself for the way that you are :) It's a horrible feeling if you feel 'inferior' to other people but remember that feelings are not facts - you are NOT inferior. Don't put pressure on yourself about something that you have no control over - don't worry about your height; just enjoy life, as Julie said. :)

But what about your "face structure" Julie? Did that improve with age? :|

Crikey! In that case, Julie must look about 7.....
