I am not a fan of wine really .. I will drink it on family occasions when it's there, but it's not something I particularly would buy unless I was expecting guests. I honestly can't tell the difference between different types. I'd love to try a really, really expensive one one day to see if it tasted any better than they cheapo stuff, tho!

Someone bought me a bottle of 'proper' champagne for my 21st birthday, but being the unsophisticated family we are, we only had a small polite glass each so as not to offend the person who bought it. The rest sadly ended up being tipped down the sink.

Beer for me, though my favourite varies from day to day. Last week it was 'Old Peculiar', this week leaning towards 'Badgers Tanglefoot'.

Ah, Old Peculier is a great favourite of mine. Just finished my supply of Tanglefoot! For a really tasty pint, try Fuller's ESB.

I'll put that next on my 'to try' list.

Sundays don't usually count for Lent but maybe it depends on how you observe it.

When I'm in Britain I will have to try some of these beers mentioned (Fuller's ESB), if I can remember the names (When in Rome etc.)
We don't have a choice like that here, as far as I'm aware. Plenty of wine estates though. And rooibos tea.

Why isn't plain water listed? That's my favorite beverage. At least that's what I drink most often! Of the beverages listed, I checked milk, lemonade, hot chocolate, and wine. I drink soda only if my stomach is feeling unsettled. Otherwise, I steer clear of it.

Well mostly because we ate out most of the time! I remember the one time I had to cook for you!
