Re: Usernames - Why did you choose yours?
First: My name is nothing like my own.
While I like George from the Famous Five more, Dinah was always one of my favourites females characters. Bill Cunningham was always the adult I liked most in any Blyton Book, so I put those two names together, also showing that they became family. Also I didn't want to take a male name, being female.

Bill: "I don't know what to say. You're only kids — but you're the finest company of friends anyone could have. You know the meaning of loyalty already, and even if you're scared you don't give up. I'm proud to have you for my friends."

Re: Usernames - Why did you choose yours?
The advantage of using my second given name on the site is that I respond to its' use and always know that the speaker is from the Enid Blyton Forum!

I know your first name(s) Francis and yet I can't seem to not call you Francis, either in person or in my head.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

Re: Usernames - Why did you choose yours?
Just imagine if I had lots of given names to use for my different interests - might get rather confusing though!

If I didn't have a middle name I'd be a Justice of the Peace.

My initials spell CAR. I suppose if I wanted to personalise my avatar, I could have this atmospheric Blyton classic:
Or this one:
But I think I'll just stick with Pip and his swallows!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I do like the Noddy car - it would certainly get me noticed. I wonder if Jeremy Clarkson would like to give it a spin! Mind you, Mr Plod might have to get his notebook out.

I have a friend who, before her marriage, had the initials JC. Which I believe got her a bit of "oh yeah, right, so that's who you think you are..." teasing at school!Julie2owlsdene wrote: My maiden name initials is JR. Sounds like something from Dallas!!!!
