Somehow, I doubt you'll get an answer straightaway to your question from 'vfvd' Daisy, as he/she hasn't been active on the forum since 2014.

Mmmm, what username would you have chosen I wonder!
I don't really know what I would chose if I had to change mine now.

Re: Usernames - Why did you choose yours?
I assume the user name selected by the cat was pronounced "vee-dee-eff-dee" or something like that!
I think "Boodi" is a nice user name, especially as I was always mad about horses and I have no desire to change it. However, if I was forced to change for some reason I might consider Eunice, Eunice-Tolling/Belling or Ern's mother/wife!!! If moving away from a Blyton themed user name I would probably pick Peter Rabbit, another of my childhood heros

Re: Usernames - Why did you choose yours?
The Sea of Adventure was the first "proper" book that I ever read and I was always fascinated by the motor boats which featured so prominently in the book. The best of these was of course Bill's Lucky Star boat which brought them up to the islands. So when I joined up here it was the first name I thought of.

That's a fascinating story which I did not know John.
Thank you for sharing.

Re: Usernames - Why did you choose yours?
Honestly, I don't know what I'd go for! I wish I hadn't put my year of birth in now as it ages me somewhat (I was a sprightly 20 year old when I joined...).
I don't have a good track record for usernames. I was Missy_Gothic_Mosher and then PinkMissy through most of my teens (I still have the pinkmissy email which is great when I forget to use my grown up one and have to spell that out to businesses) now I tend to just use my name or sometimes Nina Marie (the name of an original character in the fanfic world Stef and I created).
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

I've often wondered why Sir Mick Jagger chose Eddie Muir as his username.

"Sprightly" - and the very next hilarious post is by our John - how apt is that?

Don't worry Fiona, being born in 1986 still makes you young in my eyes.Fiona1986 wrote: ↑06 May 2009, 16:31 My name is Fiona and I was born in 1986 and I couldn't be bothered being any more inventive than that. Wish I had been though!

I don't know what name I'd have chosen to use other than my own. Anne from the Famous Five was one of my favourite characters for a time, but maybe I'd go for something like Bill Smuggs to confuse people.

Re: Usernames - Why did you choose yours?
Does that apply to FB as well? If so, how do people know who you are?
