Car crash
I rounded off the year in a superb fashion by being involved in a minor car accident .. taxi I was being driven home from Tesco in crashed. I wasn't hurt, happily, and neither were the two people in the other vehicle, and the driver of the taxi had only superficial bruises. It seemed to be a fitting end to what was not a great year though . That's actually the first car accident I've ever been involved in and it was not terribly nice, but we're all okay!

Re: Car crash
How awful for you, but as you say at least you're okay. It's a shock something like that. I was involved in an accident many moons ago, not my fault I must add. But I was off work a few weeks. Glad you are okay.
Julian gave an exclamation and nudged George.

Re: Car crash
The police say that they want a statement from me - not that I can be of much use cos I was sitting in the back and I genuinely did not see what happened - but they've not come yet. That said I guess that they would not on New Year's Day .. maybe they will tomorrow.

Re: Car crash
I suppose getting a statement from you is not top priority at this time of year! We had people letting off fireworks out in our street at midnight last night and then some kind of argument broke out and people were shouting obscenities at one another. Luckily the commotion only lasted a few minutes but no doubt there were similar incidents elsewhere, some of which would have led to the police getting involved.

Re: Car crash
Hehe quite
It was weird in that a) the person that we hit was a nurse (and had her son in the car) and b) there was a police car driving down the same road at the time so she naturally stopped and summoned more help. I remarked to her that if you HAVE to be involved in a car crash you can do far worse than hit a nurse in front of the police .

Glad you're okay Moose!
Sixret, Moose and Yak are the same person. Moose lost her password, and so Yak took its place.

Re: Car crash
I've been in four minor car crashes, and honestly, none of them were my fault! Two involved cars pulling out from a side road into my car, and two involved people just driving into the back of me when I was stopped in traffic!! But that's Birmingham drivers for you!!
Glad you're okay though Moose.
