Happy Birthday, Petermax!
Have a super-smashing birthday, Petermax! Hope you receive a book or two, or perhaps some DVDs/videos. Just the thing for these cold winter evenings!

Have a great birthday Petermax. Abandon those rails and get yourself off down a good pub for the day, thats my advice.

Happy Birthday PM you ol' thing.
Wish you all the best guy.And not to forget always a cool drink and a pleasant smoke.

Well, this is a pleasant surprise!! Thank you all very much indeed for the birthday greetings, I never expected this at all.
Alas, today is just another working day for me, I finish work in the early hours in charge of a late night train from Waterloo to Portsmouth. I really do hope that no fights break out during the journey, Saturday nights are always very unpredictable.
I will however, celebrate in a proper fashion in a couple of days time at one or two traditional local hostelries that just happen to serve some very fine real ales.

PETERMAX!
My, I don't envy you on that late train. I think I would lock myself in at the driver's cab in the rear of the train, and let them get on with it!
I hope you had a great birthday.

Thank you Moonraker! My Saturday night shift went fairly peacefully, the only trouble that I had was with a group of youths playing about with the public address system on the way to Waterloo.(This a common problem on Desiros) The return journey back to Portsmouth went without incident, the season of goodwill truly reaches everywhere!Moonraker wrote:I hope you had a great birthday.
Thankfully, I now have four days off work, time to do a bit of reading, (Blyton!) drinking, (Ringwood!) and catching up with friends and family.

Gracious, Fiona, where did you get that picture? I had the exact same candles on my 14th birthday cake! Even the colours match!
