Many times alas. I disliked Maths intensely and rarely paid attention. :D

Anna I am so sorry, I have just deleted your post! It came up twice so I deleted the first one and the second one went as well!! Nothing to do with the fact that I used to be a Maths teacher, I promise!

Really? :D. Oh please come teach at my school we wouldn't have to do any maths at all, it'd be so nice if you taught us all about Blyton and no maths whatsoever! Please come teach at my school? :(

My word, Tony! What is the key to your success? Your multi-talented skills seem to be in such high demand at the moment, if you take up these offers, there will be no time to run the Society!

Maybe you need to chill out and have a nice, relaxing picnic! Image

Ah, you say the nicest things, Anna! But life wouldn't be that easy - I would have you adding the number of Famous Five books to the number of Find-Outers books, then multiplying by the number of Secret Seven books and finally dividing by the number of Malory Towers books - and the answer is?

I got the same answer, Ming!

It would be easy enough to base a Geometry lesson around plans and sketches of Malory Towers or Moon Castle - square and rectangular rooms and passages, round towers, windows of various shapes and sizes, etc.

I'd never get it right! I'm hopless at Maths, and Chemistry as it happens!
"You're so sharp you'll cut yourself one day!" Hunchy said going to the door
"So my Mother told me that when I was two years old!" said Julian and the others giggled.

Oh, Tony - did you not realise that you were starting a new game thread? Can we expect more of these cryptic maths puzzles?

Multiply the Famous Five's legs by the number of Sticks, then subtract Loony's ears and Lenoir's eyes.
