Sorry to hear that Sue. But I'm sure you'll be fine, once you've recovered from the operation. Best wishes.

I'll be thinking of you, Sue! Just think, where will the doctor send you to convalesce? Maybe a nice little boat trip on the Northern Seas... :)

All the best to you Sue. Dont worry you will be fine. My Mum had a similar operation a few years ago and she is now great.

Once you're in hosptial, and on the ward chatting to the others, I'm sure you'll feel a whole lot better Sue. The unknown, is always frightening.

When I worked at our local hospital, one of the wards on my round was the gynaecology ward, where I did the ECG's on the patients, before they went to surgery. It was a happy smiling ward, one of the best in the hospital. All the ladies, were joking, chatty, and encouraged each other. I used to spend much longer in that ward, than the others, as I loved to chat with them all.

I'm sure you'll be just FINE. :D

My mum had a hysterectomy too, about eighteen years ago now, and everything was fine. She made friends with some other women who were in hospital having the same operation. Perhaps other patients in your ward will be clamouring to borrow your Enid Blyton books!

Goodness knows what sort of plot-line Duncan would make out of a hysterectomy. Maybe the removal of a secret room from deep in the dungeons! You'll be fine, Sue; before you know it, you'll be telling us all about it! :)
