What annoys me? Toys all over the floor; dog dirt all over the streets; books with missing pages; soft punishments and cushy prisons for criminals who have committed heinous crimes.

I agree with you Anita, about criminals and all!

More things that make me tick!

When the fridge starts to smell, every time some ones opens it.

The landlord, for not repairing all the things that need repairing.

Creaking floor boards, ever tried not to make them creak? They creak even more. :?

People who tell lies so things will be "good" for them, and not good for the other person, who will go in to the situation blindly
There is always something else new to learn.

Technical things that go wrong (or which I am incapable of using properly), people who drop litter, sales calls... I'm sure there are many more things that annoy me, but I can't think of them at the moment ;-)

Oh, yes, misbehaving boys are so much worse than girls. Why is that? I find it much easier to be patient with girls than boys. I can tell I am going to spoil any daughters of mine rotten.
What's wrong with boys? I have a little five-year-old boy and he is great. He loves going to cafes, playing board games, playing soccer and cricket in the backyard with me. He loves wildlife and stories and wherever I take him, people comment on what a good boy he is.

On the other hand, I can hear the little girl who lives across the road squealing every five minutes because somebody looked at her or something.

The down that society in general has on little boys really annoys me. I'd much rather have a boy who enjoyed soccer and cricket and had an interest in nature than a little girl who was into Barbie and Bratz any day of the week.

Not being able to phone the bank/building society/gas board etc and speak directly to a human being without choosing loads of number options, getting it wrong, slamming the phone down and wasting my time by starting all over again.

I do so agree with you Jools, with the final option of press 34 if you want to wait for two hours and actually speak to someone!

I have one or two pet ones of my own:-
Drivers who slow down to almost zero at a green traffic light in case it turns red - and it normally does for the car behind them!

People who park their shopping trolleys so that they block off the reduced cabinet in Tesco's (my main source of food!!), so that nobody else can get near, whilst they then have a long conversation with someone.

People who phone me asking me to value total rubbish that is only fit for the dustbin, so that they can sell it on ebay!

I am sure I will think of more!!

Lol! Tony, these things really are sooo annoying! I can imagine just how it feels, me being the most impatient member, hot tempered (well, second in that  ) in my whole family! Except for the telephone calls though, the only telephone calls that really annoy me are friends asking me what the homework was, or teachers asking whether I'll perform in one of their programmes. Plus, I keep getting blank calls from someone on my mobile phone, it's this 15 digit number, which is the weirdest of all, as all mobile phone numbers in the country are 10 or 11 digits and all res. numbers are 7 digits!

Good way of phrasing it! :) I'm tempted to say dogs!
Actually I do get annoyed by dogs that bark at every little thing.
Even worse, gratuitous hooting.
Loud music at functions.
People who don't know how to queue, and try to push in front.

Ooh, my list could be longer than Nige's!

I try to be quite laid back however I have a healthy disregard for the following...

1) Defense solicitors
2) Motorists - there are those who commit offences and there are those who haven't been caught yet...
3) Drunk people when I'm working
4) My dad when he rings me in the day to 'see how I am' waking me when I'm on nights and then forgetting what he wanted to ask - despite knowing my shift pattern - he is a serial offender at this
5) Anyone who is cruel to any animal.
6) As mentioned re the phone situation

Hmm, I could go on, but I'd hate to take te grumpy crown from Nigel :)

Didn't realise what a grumpy bunch we all were. No actually, I think we're a pretty cheerful bunch, but you list certainly is very realistic!

Whatever gives you that impression?

Nah, if secret hand-shakes, nudges and winks, make certain people feel happy, important and superior, that's fine by me!

I've had a couple of busy days, what with being ill and that, so will compile a list of things very soon.

Hmm, I have to add something to my list - I'm addicted to the forums! I am actually doing my homwork, listening to music, and typing this at the same time! It makes me annoyed to think that I STILL have to complete my Science and Bangla h.w. and read chap. 24 of Around the world in 80 days for writing a review at school tomorrow!
