My sympathies Maria, dentist visits are awful :( . I had to have emergency root canal done beginning of December and it was horrible, I don't think I've been through a more uncomfortable procedure. I hope your visit wasn't as bad!

I had several root canals and pulled out teeth in my life, but thanks to anesthetics it was bearable. For the time when the anesthetics wear off, I usually received a few pain killing pills.
However, my last pulled out tooth in December 2015 was so stubborn and wouldn't come out that my new dentist had to lean onto my cheek and I had a bruise in my face for days.

Thank you!! Oh no! I'm so sorry for you, I imagine that was horrible! Mine wasn't that bad, it's just I can't bear pain, or anything to do with my teeth.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Its always good to get your teeth into a good Enid Blyton book! ;-) Hope you are feeling better now! :-D

I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Thanks a lot Courtenay and Rob! :D Yeah, I am feeling much better now, the pain is almost gone so it's fine, though it feels weird not to have that tooth!
But next week I'll have to go to the dentist again! :(

I've just watched EastEnders. I'm not usually one for watching soaps but it was dreadful to see the bus crash into the market and railway bridge :(

Desperately trying to locate the majority of my 1978 F5 location photos/paperwork, etc. I've now gone through the the last of the boxes in my attic & loft, this evening, but I've only found bits & bobs! I do have boxes of stuff stored in my Mum's loft & also in my two brothers lofts! I'm hoping that I've left them stored there. If not, that's about 7 years of research gone! Not in a panic...yet!

I just listend to the news and learned that muslim citizens from 7 countries are no longer allowed to go to the US. I hope Ming will be able to finish her education in the US and that no more countires will be added to the black list. According to some alternative facts in the net Germany is already a Islamic Republic and could therefore be affected by that.

This is not intended to start a discussion about it, I just wanted to express my concern about a fellow part time forumite.

Wolfgang, we just booked flights to France in May a few weeks ago.
I hope France is not on that list, too!

After 6 years in this class, my school has ended. Friday was the last day. We're just gonna go back for a Preliminary exam every week. After the board exams from 22nd March to 8th April, we're gonna be out of 10th grade, and a loooong holiday where we have a lot planned. I'm really looking forward to all that, but ending school with these awesome people who've been together for 6 years was so sad! WHY do all good things have to come to an end? :(

I'd optimistically say, we live in interesting times. ;-)

To ease your mind, Chrissie, 7 countries from the Near East and Africa are on this list. I don't think any countries from the EU will be added to "that" list.

All the best with your exams, Sunskriti — not long to go before new adventures begin for you! :D
