Re: Monthly Quiz
Bit of a struggle this month. Too many questions about books I haven’t read.

Re: Monthly Quiz
I'd forgotten all about the quiz!
I only did it once or twice as I only know the mystery / adventure stories and so don't have a clue about any of the younger / school story questions. But since you've reminded me about it then I'll give this month's a go later.

Re: Monthly Quiz
Just did the quiz (as Jock).
But I forgot about the points off for how long you take and didn't rush!
Considering I don't know anything about the school ones (so those half a dozen or so questions were complete guesses), happy enough to get 21 right (though extra points off for slow answering!)

Re: Monthly Quiz
Just had a look back at January's quiz, and I think I'd have struggled with that one.
Tricky to judge as the answers were given so I had to look at the questions without the three options, but there certainly wasn't too many that I knew straight away.

Re: Monthly Quiz
I wonder how AZ scored 30 in about one minute in the March quiz but only got 13 in the February one.
Obviously he or she got the answers as midnight, noted them , and then completed the ‘new’ quiz before the new questions were posted.
It’s supposed to be a bit of fun and I cannot understand why people have to cheat.

Re: Monthly Quiz
Had another go this month - managed to remember to go as quick as possible, but still just over 3 minutes so I guess I'll just have to accept I'm slow!
Only got 19 this time - but, again, I expect most of the ones wrong were about the school / Fantasy books that I've never read so it looks like I'm going to average out around the 20 point mark most times.

Re: Monthly Quiz
Remembered to do the quiz again this month, and scored 20.
I'd forgotten about it for ages, but done it the last 3 months and scored 21, 19 and 20 - so very much getting a par score for me there.
I still don't know how people finish it so quickly though! I rushed as much as I could and still took 3.27. I've no idea how some manage to do it in pretty much half that time!

Re: Monthly Quiz
Much more difficult this month.
I only know a lot about the adventurous and mystery style books and school stories but little about the illustrators or ‘fantasy’ books.

Re: Monthly Quiz
Same here, Barnard.
Except I've never read the school books so don't know anything about them either. So very much just know about the Mystery and Adventure stories. Oh, and I've also read some of the family books in recent years, such as Six Cousins and Red Roofs.
But I'm always going to struggle to score much over 20 with my complete lack of knowledge of the school, circus, fantasy type books.

Re: Monthly Quiz
The most I have ever scored is 25 with plenty of easy ones and a few lucky guesses. My average is about 21.
