It seems Clyde Pearson passed away on December 28th aged 87.

A retired book illustrator who designed covers for Enid Blyton died at home, a court has heard.

Clyde Pearson, 87, of Norwich Road in Ditchingham, near Bungay, was found by his son, Jason Pearson, on December 28.

Mr Pearson designed several covers for Enid Blyton’s republished books, including the 1967 Merlin edition of The Naughtiest Girl Again and the 1968 Hamlyn editions of The Children of Cherry Tree Farm and The Children of Willow Farm.

It's sad to read about Clyde Pearson's death.

The Naughtiest Girl covers are a bit dark and gloomy for me, but the farm ones are fine. I love the Galliano's Circus cover - it's bright and cheerful with plenty going on, and it draws the eye in. I particularly like the horses, and Lucky the dog.
