Illustrations in Armada Killimooin

Post by ness »

I have been reading the Armada version of The Secret of Killimooin, and the cover illustration is by Mary Gernatt. But the illustrations inside look very much like Eileen Soper-two of the characters look like Julian and George! Does anyone know if Sopers illustrations are used in these books?
"He [Julian] could not see George, but he felt quite certain she was glaring at him."

Yes, Eileen Soper did illustrate The Secret of Killimooin. You can see the details in the Cave of Books, Ness:

"Heyho for a starry night and a heathery bed!" - Jack, The Secret Island.

"There is no bond like the bond of having read and liked the same books."
- E. Nesbit, The Wonderful Garden.
