What do you think of Martha's illustrations. I'm not normally a fan of any modern interpretations of Enid's artwork,but I found myself quite enjoying some of her visual depictions.

Yes, rather good in their own way - although I hated the American loco in Secret Seven on the Trail. Looks like Tony's got to do some more scanning! :wink:

I don't know if Ton't is meant to be me, but if so they won't be going in the Cave as these are for modern Portuguese editions! I quite like some of them, Pete, though not all.

Not bad at all Pete. They are better than many I have seen. They would be quite appealing to younger readers which is the important thing.

For modern illustrations, I think the children are quite good, but I feel the picture is spoilt by the American style loco.

I like quite a lot of those illustrations, Pete. They're dramatic and exciting and should appeal to a wide age-group.
