Unknown Illustrator

Post by Poppy »

ImageHi Everyone!
I have just dug this edition of The Six Cousins 2in1 book out but I can't find any illustrator in the book at all... I love the illustrations, as they are so detailed and there is so much to see... Very nice indeed! :D I also spotted a tiny little Noddy Car in the bottom left corner. Does anyone have any idea who drew these illustrations? :D

Hi Poppy,

Do you know the publisher and/or ISBN number of the book??? If you give me this information I might be able to track down the illustrator...
Thanks,

honesty

Unfortunatey, many books/compendiums do not credit their illustrators. I seem to remember that some publishers use 'staff illustrators'.

Ian Regan and Tony once had a discussion about that cover (and other similar ones), and said they thought the illustrator might be Rodney Sutton.

I also have a copy of this and love the illustrations too. Will definitely look into the Rodney Sutton idea and see If it matches up. They really are very charming illustrations and quite unique. I've found some similar illustrations which I ordered at PosterLounge but I don't think it's the same Illustrator. However, in the end but they're also beautiful. I have a couple adorning my reading room as wall-art. They've got that certain feeling of nostalgia that most of the books' illustrations capture for me.
