Incidentally, Edgar teases George by calling her"Georgie-porgie" before Julian pulls his nose in Five Run Away Together. However, I am not sure whether George is fat as portrayed in Eileen Soper's illustrations.

I think Edgar was just trying to annoy George by any means possible. George is never shown as fat, either in text or illustration, in any of the books. I think at some stage though that Julian teases George by saying that Timmy is getting fat but I can't remember which book it is.
