Eileen Soper's Illustrated Worlds (was E B Story Centre)

Enid used many illustrators in her books. Discuss them here.

Very sorry about the Poole venture - at least I can truthfully say that I did the
Eileen Soper World Famous Five mystery - perhaps after it closes you can let me
know who the baddie was! If you would let me know what the National Trust did
(or didn't do) concerning your Famous Five Trail, Izzy and I can (as members) tell
them what for. Will see you (with my books) on Tuesday.

I'm very sorry to hear about the closure of both The Ginger Pop Shop at Poole and Eileen Soper’s Illustrated Worlds, Viv. Very sad indeed. Good luck with The Ginger Pop Shop at Corfe Castle. I always enjoy paying the shop a visit when I'm in Dorset. :D
'Go down to the side-shows by the river this afternoon. I'll meet you somewhere in disguise. Bet you won't know me!' wrote Fatty.

Big big hugs to you Viv. I know what you are going through and I promise once it is all behind you it gets much better. Like me, you have so much if onlys. If only Chorion hadnt been so petty in the start, if only there hadnt been a recession etc. You achieved your dream battling others all the way and most other people wouldnt have bothered to even start it up let alone make it as good as it is.

I am desperate to come and see it! If boyfriend and I have one day off together before you close I will be there.

Visited the Ginger Pop Shop in Corfe today and it was buzzing! It has the
right location - opposite the Castle entrance and uses its' limited space
to the maximum - packed with goodies. At least Viv can concentrate on
this winner and not have to worry about the Poole shops.

Thanks Francis - Helen said you'd been in :D

I don't think that we've had a family who have been into ES this week who have stayed less than an hour, with many having to drag the kids out!

I've been cheering myself up by reading a story for anti-smoking month - I expect you can guess which!

Gosh it would be lovely to continue ES somewhere more appreciative (Corfe or Swanage)
- I loved my visit there. Izzy had to drag me out after an hour and a half! Hope you enjoyed
your story (which one was that?)!
