I enjoyed Terry's review of The Enid Blyton Pennant Series number 23:

I've never read 'Lucy Lively and Dicky Dull' but it's the sort of story I'd have liked as a child - and I love the note (presumably meant for teachers who were using the stories in the classroom) advising "indirect instruction" on ethics!

I have 'The Magic Mirror' in an Award book (The Magic Mirror and Other Stories) and it's a slightly creepy and thought-provoking tale along the same lines as 'Sulky Susan', which was a favourite of mine when I was little.
"Heyho for a starry night and a heathery bed!" - Jack, The Secret Island.

"There is no bond like the bond of having read and liked the same books."
- E. Nesbit, The Wonderful Garden.
