It seems they've been sold, Pete. I like the covers, particularly the sailing ship.

I did consider putting in a bid, but I'm trying to cut back on buying books for a while until I have a better idea of which ones I've already got - not sure how long I'll stick to that good intention though. ;)

Don't worry Nigel - I like to alternate my reading, and so have taken a short break from the Journals.

However, I have almost finished a re-read of 'The Island of Adventure', which will be followed by a non-Blyton book (something fairly short I think), and then it will be Journal 26's turn - I already have it sitting on the shelf in readiness. ;)

I look forward to reading your review - although the earliest thread is for J29, so you might have to start a new one!

Me too. I have been stuck for too long now reading murder mysteries. I must wean myself of them.

Thanks Nigel - I finished reading 'Island' last night, and this morning I realised I had a non-Blyton book that only had one short chapter left to read, which I've now completed, so as soon as I've logged both books onto my spreadsheet (which is already opened in readiness), I'll be toddling down to my garden library and picking up Journal 26.

As it's such a long time ago, I won't start a new thread, but just put any comments under the General Journal Natter one and then hunt up Journal 29 onwards when I get there. :)
