Wonder if any of our German speaking forum chums have read/come across this book?

Here's a lovely illustration from the English version of the book:

The cave has more illustrations from the English edition:

What a beautiful illustration. I love the way a little figure is trying to turn the upside down 'R' the right way up... and the musical notes on the "Our sausages are noted" poster shows a lovely sense of humour.
'Tis loving and giving that makes life worth living.

Yes, lovely illustrations from the Cave — and the German cover illustrations are delightful too. I was intrigued about the German title, which I had to look up on Google Translate — it means "Lively and Motley". I must admit I didn't know some of Enid's short story collections had been translated into German as well as her better-known longer works like the Famous Five!

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I studied this wonderful illustration for ages Daisy, and yet I didn't spot that!
As usual, many thanks must go to Tony for making all this great work available to us all.

Not necessarily - Boje pulished several more books which also contains stories of these books, but not the same ones.
