Two chunky books indicate that they must have been earlier editions! If there is a luck, they are maybe the first editions!

I agree, a bargain — no dust jackets, but those frontispieces are lovely, and for less than £4 per book, that's brilliant! I'm half considering them, but really don't need even more books just now...
