Not according to the copies on AbeBooks , some first editions, which also have her name in the middle of them. Why would her name be removed in later editions in any case, all books have the author's name on the front usually :? . I'll check my edition tomorrow, I can't remember it off the top of my head. Glad it's not just me who can't see it, I thought I was being dense and missing it!

Strange! Certainly looks like a mistake on the 1967 edition! Looking on eBay at a 1969 edition the name was back on there by then! :?
'Oh voice of Spring of Youth
hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes
through the night.'

Thank you sixret - I've been protecting my new books with my own home made A4 improvised plastic wallets.
£1 for 100 compared to £18 for a roll of plastic book wrapping!

The Secret Seven 1953

A very kind ebay seller I do not know messaged me to offer this copy I had been watching for the reduced price of £3.25.

I think the decimal point is definitely in the right place at that price, so I bought it immediately!

I'm not a Secret Seven edition guru like Rob, so I don't know if this edition's exterior jacket/ colour illustrations will be the same as the early editions from 1949/50, but at £3.25 I can live with that.

It was Rob who put me on to a complete Knight paperback 1970's set a few years back which I bought - and sixret who put me on to this collection of eleven hardbacks recently - so many thanks to both of you.

I now have a complete set of paperback and hardback Secret Seven's! :D

 Yes, it's a never ending cycle! I wonder what feeling you get when/if you finally manage to collect everything you want - gladness that you've succeeded or sadness there's nothing left?

I've sort of achieved that with Agatha Christie - but then she wrote under one hundred books - much much less than Enid Blyton.

I now sate my Agatha Christie passion by buying every book about her I can lay my hands on.
This is one book I am currently ploughing through:

Curtain Up: Agatha Christie: A Life in Theatre

Sounds fascinating, Pete! My parents might be interested in that book too — they're both Agatha Christie fans (especially Mum) and they've seen The Mousetrap (and promised never to give away the ending...).
