No, it was from WorldOfRareBooks for £37 and it's gone. Someone must've snapped it up quick! I don't know why the link I put didn't work, maybe it sold straight away so the link became invalid? I'm sorry if anybody wanted the book and missed it, I thought the link was alright. That copy you've found Boatbuilder is pretty much the same condition wise and not much more in price.

Yes, I assumed the book had been quickly snapped up IceMaiden, as it's one serious Blyton collectors are keen to snap up.

Normally when an item is sold, the original link will still work and tell you that the item is sold. I notice that IceMaiden’s link was to eBay.com rather than .co.uk., although it diverted to a .co.uk address. I also tried her link almost immediately after she posted it - as you will notice there is only a minute’s difference between our two posts. I added my link a bit later as an edit.

Re: Secret of the Old Mill
Anyway, the other one is still going for £39.99 — not a title I'm looking for, but I know there are others who'd be keen to have it, and that price isn't too bad for a genuinely hard-to-find book.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

The hardback reprint version you spotted back in August is starting to look like good value compared to current older edition prices sixret!

Hardcover with original text.
The alternative edition to be owned if we don’t have the first edition.

Yes you're right, most of the time I can see an item even after it's sold, but I have had a 'that page is forbidden' at times which is what I assumed happened here. Perhaps being .com instead of .co.uk stopped it showing? Can't really see why though , indeed if you hadn't mentioned it Boatbuilder I wouldn't have noticed as the seller and price was in pounds. I can't even find it in my own searched items history as it's completely disappeared. Pity as it was a bargain compared to this one:Boatbuilder wrote:Normally when an item is sold, the original link will still work and tell you that the item is sold. EDIT: I've just had a thought and checked my email drafts where any posted links to automatically. I've found it and got the listing to show up fine (book has gone however) so I really am not sure what went wrong with it initially.
