Hmmm, it's sold already — I wouldn't have minded that one. But I hope it's gone to a good home! Thanks for posting, Sixret. :D

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

Really, I'd prefer it with a dust jacket in good condition, but that would probably send the price up into three figures!

Yes, the dust jacket copy can easily reach more than £100 based on the last auction. My copy is without the dust jacket. :D

That smiley makes me think you are the one who bought it, sixret.

The winner wasn’t me at all, John. :D Smile smiley has always been my trademark in many forums/groups that I have joined. But I won’t use smiley if I type using my handphone because of the difficulty. My handphone is so small. I won’t advertise the books that I want to bid for obvious reason.

When I clicked the link (just out of nosiness to see the book even though it was sold) eBay did the whole "here's something similar" which takes up most of the page and their idea of "similar" is a very modern copy of "Up the Faraway Tree." Close. No cigar.
"It's the ash! It's falling!" yelled Julian, almost startling Dick out of his wits...
"Listen to its terrible groans and creaks!" yelled Julian, almost beside himself with impatience.

That feature always makes me smile and groan at the same time! Sometimes I've missed out on something like 'Benjy and the Others' - which is very rare, and so they recommend a Dean edition of 'the Wishing Chair' instead, lol!

hearts mad delight,
Sing on, sing on, and when the sun is gone
I'll warm me with your echoes

Well, it's an algorithm that figures out the "something similar", not a Blyton expert.

I know, but it's funny what it throws up sometimes

I agree - sometimes, in place of a Sunny Stories Calendar, you get a 2018 Secret Seven paperback, lol!
