The Land Of Far Beyong!!!

Post by pete9012S »

This seems to be an expensive book to pick up - the spelling error in the description may lead to seomeone getting a bargain!!

 Just wondering where on earth the Land of Far Beyong is... Not tempted, anyway, Pete — I picked up a good copy with dust jacket a while back. But thanks for sharing this interesting curiosity.

It was a nuisance. An adventure was one thing - but an adventure without anything to eat was quite another thing. That wouldn't do at all. (The Valley of Adventure)

I can't believe how careless some people are about checking for typos. Goodness me, the book is illustrated next to the mistake with the (obviously correct) title in full view.

Well, I actually won this book for just over two quid!

I was quite surprised as I thought they were always quite pricey and wasn't expecting my cheeky bid to win.

Just need a nice facsimile dust jacket to put over the yellow boards now if any kind soul could email me a scan?

Regards

Pete

Well done, Pete. :D

I remember I won so many cheap Enid Blyton vintage books in 2014(some are first editions) that had led me to complete my EB collection just because the seller listed more than 10 listings as “Enid Bylton job lot” without stating the individual titles. :D

Well done, Pete. :D Amazing what effect a typo in the listing can have, as Sixret's example shows too...
